A hospitality music system for every venue

For many years Backsound has been the supplier of hardware and software for (background) music throughout the Netherlands. We have a large number of different customers, from gyms to funeral directors. You can also always come to us for hospitality music software. For example, we supply our products to:

• restaurants
• cafés
• lunch bars
• lounge bars

As you can see, everyone from the smallest cafés to the largest restaurant chains can come to us for excellent hospitality music software. By developing advanced technologies we can always respond to every (music) question in the market. One example is our latest development, iBacksound. With this handy app you turn your smartphone or iPad into a remote control for your music system. With a simple press of a button you quickly adjust the songs you are playing.

Music in hospitality

Why music is so important in cafés is obvious, of course: music sets the atmosphere. The music you play has a big effect on your guests; help them relax with smooth jazz or create a party mood by playing the hippest DJs. However, you should not underestimate the effect of music in other hospitality venues either. There are several reasons for this:

• With music you emphasise the identity of your restaurant
• By playing a specific genre that matches that identity, you create the atmosphere you want.
• When pleasant music is playing, your guests stay seated longer and will therefore order another cup of coffee or tea (or a bottle of wine).
• Would you rather encourage a faster turnover? Music with a lot of beats per minute makes your guests eat faster. That way a new table becomes available sooner.
• An experiment showed that people are willing to pay more for a cup of coffee when classical music can be heard in the background. So music also influences how your guests perceive prices.

Reason enough, then, to switch to music software for hospitality!

Careful planning

It is extremely important to adapt the music to your needs. Fast beats around lunchtime make sure new tables become available quickly, and later in the afternoon, when it is quiet, you play slower music so your guests relax and order an extra cup of coffee. With the hospitality music software all of this is really easy. You simply create a playlist for each period. You can find suitable songs in our handy search system, which is organised by genre. Then you schedule the playlists for a particular time or a specific day with the Music Planner. After that you don't need to give it another thought.

Relaxing in the sports canteen

After being well and truly fired up by the music in the gym, people can take a moment to recover in your sports canteen. With Backsound's multiroom system, a separate playlist can be created for this too, which is of course really handy. Here the fast beats of the workout areas are not played; instead the tone is set by relaxed music that can serve as a background to a pleasant chat after exercising while drinking a healthy smoothie.

Access to the latest hits

With Backsound music software for hospitality you always have access to the best songs in your favourite genre. At Backsound we keep an eye on the charts for you and predict which songs will become popular in the genre you are interested in. You can choose to receive a message daily, weekly or monthly with the latest hits in your chosen genre. You then simply download them to the music system in your venue at the push of a button. Have you used the search function and the song you want to play is not there? Then send us a message and within one working day it will be on your music system!
